Cardboard box that still contains 30 tablets of Chi-Ches-Ters Diamond Brand pills, plus the instructions for the medicine. The product was for the "effective relief of functional painful menstruation". Made by the Chichester Chemical Company, Philadelphia 46, PA. No dates on the box, pills or instructions, however, since they use a Zone Code in their address, you know the item was made between 1943 and 1963. I see on ebay that this medicine , at an earlier time, also came in a tin container and I think my cardboard box was made shortly after WWII when tin was not easily found-so date this item 1943-1944. My box says it costs .15 (top right printed and left side written with pencil) and looking at the instructions you see the box held 30 pills. Another ebay seller has a similar box and similar instructions, but for .15 that box only received 26 pills. That other box was therefore made after mine. Box measures 2 1/4" x 1 3/8" x 1". The box that holds the pills slides into the top/bottom/long sides of the box (see photos). Condition is very good, with some minor marks on the bottom. I also see on one side that there is a piece of red tape-I believe this was done by the manufacturer to cover some languge that was printed on the box. Priced much less than the similar Chi-Ches-Ters box on ebay. By the way, this item goes to the top of my list of the worst named products!
