VINTAGE 666 QUARTETTE DRUGGIST PHARMACY TONIC SALVE LITHOGRAPH PAPER FAN BIRDS

666 Medical Products Hand Fan A nice old fan from the 1940's advertising the line of "666" products made by the Monticello Drug Co. The front has a colorful image titled "666 Quartette" showing a chubby-checked baby and three birds singing the 666 Carol. Four different 666 products (666 Nose Drops, 666 Liquid, 666 Tablets, and 666 Salve) are included in the picture. The artwork looks very much like that of well known illustrator Charles Twelvetrees but it is not signed so I can't say for sure. The back of the fan has lots of ad copy for various 666 products including a humorous testimonial from an Episcopal Archbishop who describes his ailments and says "Three years I have used continuously 666, and now I feel completely relieved." The top part of the fan is made of medium weight card stock. The handle is wood. It was made by the U.O. Colson Co. of Paris, Illinois, a large manufacturer of all sorts of advertising products.
