    Description

Making your own almond milk has never been easier! Highlands Health Nut Milk Bags make it a breeze!
Place almonds in a bowl and cover with an inch of water.
    Soak overnight.
Drain and rinse them under cool running water.
Blend almonds with water (try 2 cups of water for 1 cup of almonds, use more water for thinner milk and less for creamier milk) on high speed for about 2 minutes. You could also add vanilla and the sweetener of your choice at this stage.
Pour into your Highlands Health Nut Milk Bag placed over a bowl.
And squeeze to extract the pulp. It is that simple! Refrigerate your almond milk for up to 2 days.
Cold Brew Coffee is becoming more and more popular and it is so easy to do at home! Why cold brew? Because much of the bitterness of coffee is due to the heat of the water it is brewed in. So, cold brew coffee is much less bitter and less acidic than traditionally brewed coffee.
To make your own cold brew coffee:
Measure out 6 Tbsp of coarsely ground coffee beans.
Place the grounds in a pitcher or a quart-sized mason jar.
Add 2 cups of cold water and let sit at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
Filter through your Highlands Health Nut Milk Bag and there you have it! If you use a dark roast coffee you may need to add a little water to taste. This recipe can be doubled or tripled to make as much as you need.
Highlands Health Nut Milk Bags are also great for straining juices, making homemade cheeses and yogurt, sprouting beans and grains, and many other uses. For more recipes and ideas find us on Facebook: Highlands Health Nut Milk Bags.
