  • Condition: Rare early set, good overall condition, plating is still bright, usual signs of age use and previous ownership. Some signs of use and surface wear on the back of the tines, as per pics (They are 150+ years old) Still solid and perfectly usable pieces. You will receive the items pictured, so the photographs are integral to the description and condition report. Discretely engraved with a goth 'JR' monogram on the reverse, no engraving visible on the front. These are early Christofle pieces circa 1840s - 1860s carry varying Christofle factory marks, but all stamped with the Christfole 'OC 84' Scale mark. Including the 'Thoret' mark which indicates the 1850s when Christofle had a production agreement with F A Thoret a leading French silversmith. Many other pieces of Christofle listed.
