    Description

Antique Victorian Electric Blue Glass Creamer Heavy Silver Deposit Overlay c.1880
Very hard to capture the electric blue color of this glass creamer. After hours of research I still found no clue as to who made this. It is mold blown with an applied handle. The bottom has been ground and polished with a deep wheel cut border around the foot rim. The sides of the handle are also polished.
This elegant piece of glass has a very heavy silver deposit of floral, leaves and vine pattern.
Silver deposit is also known as silver overlay, however this deposit is much heavier than you find later in the period of this glass treatment. Silver Overlay was used later in this style. You find it a lot on glass from the 1920s/1930s
This glass treatment was in style from 1870 until the 1920s & 1930s as people tired of polishing the silver deposit. The rim of the creamer also has a heavy gold wash around the rim has that some wear from use.
When I put a black light to the glass there is a slight glow of green.
I have had many years in hopes that I would discover more in my research.
    Measures 5 5/8" spout to handle x 3 7/8" wide x 3 3/4" tall at the handle.
There is very slight wear to the silver deposit from polishing and no chips, cracks or hairlines.

    I do COMBINED SHIPPING!
If combining shipping please "send request for combined shipping invoice" with revised shipping cost BEFORE you pay! I can not adjust shipping once you pay!!!! It appears Ebay does NOT automatically credit back their commission on the shipping fees that they charge me and Paypal doesn't refund any fees at all anymore!
    U.S. Shipping only...No International Shipping.
Hawaii & Alaska quoted shipping fee with insurance so please request an invoice to pay from. If shipping cost do not cover Hawaii & Alaska I will need to send you another invoice for additional shipping charges.
For the most part on bigger heavier items I calculate shipping from the West Coast California to the East Coast as worst case scenario. If you are on the West Coast or Midwest and want a better shipping cost estimate then just email me with zip code BEFORE you pay. Once you pay I can't adjust the invoice!!! The Post Office Shipping just went up again in January and I try very hard to ship as cheap as possible yet safe and arriving perfect.
