    Description

    New York Central Railroad Bill of Lading, dated April 23, 1926, from Doctor Miles Medical Company of Elkhart Indiana, to R.H. Bower's Drug Store in Wellsboro Pennsylvania.   It is an "Astray" bill meaning the shipment or part of it, was lost while enroute, and then located at a later date.  It was originally shipped on March 26th, on Waybill #02727.  A new waybill is created when a lost shipment is found, and then routed to the original destination.  The freight was one dozen (cases?) of Dr. Miles Tonic.  The shipment was finally received by the drug store on May 5th.  The freight bill measures 7 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.
